Hope4Havering is proud of it’s charitable achievements and the rewards that individuals have won since November 2011.
In June 2012 Hope4Havering was awarded Silver in the Metropolitan Police Problem Orientated Policing Awards, in partnership with the Safer London Transport police. In July 2012, we also were put forward for the European Goldstein Awards and came 7th in Europe. This led to Kim Merry (CEO) and Luke Spicer (Previous Night shelter Co-ordinator) presenting along with Police Sergeant Darren Hepple in Rhode Island in front of Herman Goldstein and an international police audience.
In June 2014, a Police Commendation was awarded to Kim Merry for her role in working with the police to reduce crime through combating homelessness.
In May 2015, Housing Justice awarded Hope4Havering the Housing Justice Quality Mark for managing an “Excellent” night shelter. Then in November 2015, the Lloyds Foundation awarded Robert Wilkinson the Unsung Hero Award for London for his determined volunteer efforts to prevent rough sleeping.
